Position Summary
The Assistant Equipment Mechanic will assist the Equipment Manager with the maintenance and repair of the fleet of golf course equipment.
Minimum QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or CompetenciesConsiderable knowledge of materials, equipment, tools, methods and techniques used in golf course (or similar industry) construction, repair and maintenance.
Physical DemandsHeavy lifting, operate machinery mentioned above, as needed, and working outdoors in adverse weather conditions.

Duties and Responsibilities- Assist in performing preventative maintenance on the Golf Course equipment fleet.
- Assist in equipment servicing and upkeep to include, but not limited to the following:
Mower reels, bedknives, and rotary blade grinding (sharpening). - Assist with equipment repairs without fabricating or altering the original design. Make determinations regarding the parts needed to perform maintenance and provide feedback to the lead mechanic.
- Keep work area and equipment clean and organized.
- Other duties and related tasks as assigned by management.
