Lead Accountant

We are pleased to announce that a company with which we partner is looking to add a Lead Accountant to their team. This is an excellent opportunity for anyone who in public accounting who is looking to transition to corporate accounting/finance OR someone with prior public accounting experience who is already in-house with another organization and looking to advance their career.

CPA certification is required.

LOCATION:

Buckhead, Atlanta, GA (hybrid)

• Responsible for coordinating, conducting, reviewing and/or documenting efforts involving financial close processes, analysis, ad hoc requests, research and special projects.
• Coordinates, conducts reviews and/or documents and efforts involving financial close processes, analysis, GAAP reporting requirements, ad hoc requests, research and special projects.
• Support the development of financial models and project-specific research for acquisitions, dispositions, and asset management decisions.
• Support the maintenance and strengthening of internal controls to ensure accurate financial reporting and regulatory compliance, while assisting with drafting accounting memorandums and internal control processes.
• Lead the audit process, serving as a primary point of contact for external auditors, ensuring timely completion of all audit requests and maintaining comprehensive, accurate records and documentation to support compliance and financial reporting.
• Identify and contribute to process improvements within the accounting and financial reporting functions, leveraging technology and best practices to streamline, automate, and enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of accounting processes.
• Able to manage multiple, often competing priorities.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required.
• 2+ years accounting/audit experience.
• An active CPA is required.
• Previous/current public accounting/Big 4 experience highly preferred.

• Strong analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and at a quick pace.
