Staff Accountant

Job Title: Staff Accountant

Location: Smyrna, GA

Compensation: $60000 - $75000 / Year

Benefits: This position is eligible for medical, dental, vision, and 401(k).

The Staff Accountant will provide management with financial information. This individual is responsible for maintaining financial procedures, collection of key accounts, help with month end close, and several other key accounting issues. This individual will work closely with managers, accounting team, operations, and key people to ensure the financial data is correct.

• Assist in preparation of internal financial statements by gathering information
• Prepares Month End and Year End Journal Entries
• Monthly - Weekly Reconciliation of Cash Accounts
• Collections for Key Customers
• Maintains all Occupational Tax accounts
• Assists in development and implementation of accounting procedures
• Provides support to Accounts Payable including entering overhead invoices
• Enters and posts daily deposits and credit card transactions
• Ensures daily and monthly billing is done timely and accurately
• Audits Freight charges and maintains company freight margins in line with budget
• Helps Controller with yearly budgets
• Provides support looking over monthly statements before submission to company President
• Performs other duties as assigned by Management

Bachelor's degree required.
