DepartmentInformation
The Technical Design & Strategy unit within Campus Services is a newly established department focused on improving the human-centered design, reliability, and operational effectiveness of Campus Services' technology and financial ecosystems. This unit supports areas such as credentialing, access control, housing, dining, and auxiliary operations by modernizing platforms, enhancing integrations, and strengthening data-informed decision making. The team partners closely with operational units to streamline processes, elevate the user experience, and ensure that financial, technical, and strategic initiatives are executed with accuracy, transparency, and consistency.
This position supports the financial operations of the Technical Design & Strategy department by managing accounting processes, preparing financial data, and ensuring accuracy across all unit transactions and reporting.
Verify and post a variety of financial transactions in accordance with accounting principles and Institute policy. Compile and analyze financial data, often complex in structure, and generate related schedules and reports. May provide guidance and work direction to other accounting personnel. This position will interact on a consistent basis with co workers and other campus financial personnel. This position typically will advise and counsel other accounting personnel.
This position will supervise: NA
- Compile and verify the accuracy and validity of complex accounting transactions, often requiring in-depth analysis and resolution.
- Prepare reconciliations of a variety financial data.
- Post and or review posting of transactions to appropriate accounts.
- Prepare and review financial schedules and reports.
- Maintain financial records.
- Prepare budget revisions, as needed.
- May provide explanations and/or work direction to other accountants and clerical personnel regarding more complex assignments.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Educational Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience. - Required Experience:
