Accountant, Financial Reporting, Accounts Receivable​/ Collections

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accountant to join our team on a contract basis in Atlanta, Georgia. This role is ideal for professionals with strong financial expertise and a commitment to accuracy in handling accounts. You will play an essential part in maintaining the integrity of financial records and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.

Responsibilities:

- Perform detailed bank reconciliations to ensure the accuracy of financial records.

- Manage accounts payable processes, including reviewing and processing invoices.

- Oversee accounts receivable operations by tracking incoming payments and resolving discrepancies.

- Prepare and post journal entries to maintain accurate ledger balances.

- Maintain and reconcile the general ledger to support financial reporting.

- Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies in a timely manner.

- Collaborate with other departments to ensure proper financial documentation and compliance.

- Support month-end and year-end closing activities to ensure timely reporting.

- Provide detailed financial reports and analysis as needed to assist decision-making. Requirements - Proven experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger management.

- Proficiency in performing bank reconciliations with high accuracy.

- Solid understanding of accounting principles and journal entry preparation.

- Advanced skills in financial reporting and analysis.

- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a contract-based role.

- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities.

- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively across teams.

- Proficiency in accounting software and tools.
