Accounting​/AR Specialist

6 Degrees Group is recruiting for an Accounting / Accounts Receivable Specialist on behalf of one of our clients in Atlanta, GA. This hybrid, full-time role will support high-volume billing, collections, and account reconciliation in a professional services environment. The ideal candidate brings strong attention to detail, sound accounting fundamentals, and the ability to communicate effectively with internal teams and external customers.

Training is available for candidates with foundational AR experience and a desire to grow.

• Generate and issue accurate customer invoices and apply payments across multiple methods.
• Reconcile accounts receivable ledgers, monitor aging reports, and follow up on past‑due balances.
• Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies and disputes in coordination with internal teams.
• Prepare AR reports and support month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end close activities.

• 1–3 years of experience in accounts receivable or general accounting.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and core accounting principles.
• Proficiency with ERP/accounting systems and Microsoft Excel.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
