JOB SUMMARY

The Staff Accountant will support the Assistant Controller and the Controller in maintaining accurate financial records and processing daily transactions for the company and its procurement subsidiary, Direct Source, Inc.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Perform daily cash posting, including preparation of all backup reports
  • Manage day-to-day transaction processing of Direct Source
  • Provide Direct Source project reconciliations to the procurement team as needed
  • Assist with month end close, including journal entries and accruals
  • Prepare and maintain balance sheet reconciliations; research and resolve discrepancies
  • Assist with annual audits/reviews
  • Assist in preparation of annual reports, licenses/registrations, property tax and other required filings
  • Maintain Cooper Carry Charitable Foundation financial records
  • Provide W-9 forms to clients as requested
  • Other projects as requested
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • 2-5 years of accounting-related experience
  • Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
  • Attention to detail with good follow-through; ability to meet critical deadlines
  • Analytical skills
  • Strong written, verbal and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize and organize effectively
  • Quickbooks
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position will not have supervisory responsibilities.
