Overview
Georgia Public Broadcasting (GPB) is hiring a Payable Manager in the Finance department. The Payables Manager is responsible for managing the Accounts Payable and Payroll operations in accordance with GAAP, State of Georgia law and state policies. The Payables Manager reports to the Director of Finance. GPB operates 9 PBS television stations and 22 NPR radio stations across Georgia.
Responsibilities- Audit and review Accounts Payable financial documents for payments, including supplier invoices, requests for payments, contracts, purchase orders, receiving reports, and recurring expenses.
- Supervise the Accounts Payable Accountant and manage AP operations.
- Supervise the Payroll Accountant and manage payroll operations.
- Process system-generated checks and Automated Clearing House (ACH) transactions.
- Prepare, log, and issue manual checks ensuring proper documentation and approvals in Positive Pay (BOA Cash Pro) and process wire transfers.
- Communicate with employees and suppliers regarding payments and credits. Create and update supplier accounts.
- Process 1099 reconciliation reports, accounting reports, payment inventory, and detailed and summary reports. Prepare annual 1099 reports.
- Prepare various monthly and quarterly AP and Payroll reconciliations.
- Audit and process employees and consultants travel, using Concur solutions and Team Works.
- Audit and prepare the annual Transparency in Government Act (TIGA) reports on salary, travel and expense, payments and obligations.
- Respond to inquiries for solutions of accounting problems or for information or interpretation from third parties such as banks, auditors, suppliers, and governmental entities.
- Assist in the development and/or revision of policies and procedures, as needed.
- Perform additional or related duties as assigned or required.

- Associate's degree in accounting, public administration or closely related field
