The Bookkeeper reports to the Administrative Manager and is responsible for, but riot limited to, maintaining the day-to-day accounting functions. accruals, financial statement preparation, and performing general accounting functions, as required.
EssentialJob Duties
- I. Full cycle Accounts Receivable, including preparation of monthly invoices and maintaining customer and vendor records
- 2. Accounts Payable including: purchase orders and vendor records maintenance
- 3. Multiple Bank reconciliations for depository accounts
- 4. Reconcile all balance sheet accounts; reviewing for input accuracy and prepare monthly reports and journal entries, as needed
- 6. Prepare weekly payroll
- 7. Administration of quarterly business and payroll taxes
- 8. Prepare monthly financial statements
- 9. Maintain required business documents
- 10. Prepare annual 1099's
- 11. Assistance with the annual budget and audit process
- 13. New vendor setup and maintenance
- 14. Vendor statement reconciliation and discrepancies
- 15. Deposit and cash reports
- 16. Prepare and/or review of all expense reports for accuracy and proper expense disclosure
- 17. Perform accounting requirements Authority's construction projects
- 18. Perform other related duties as may he requested by the Executive Director
- I. Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- 2. Proficient in accounting software (3 years minimum experience)
- 3. Extensive knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
- 4. 3-5 years Full Charge Bookkeeping experience
- 5. Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- 6. Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced work environment
- 7. Highly organized and detail oriented
- 8. Able to complete tasks accurately and timely with minimal supervision
- 9. Strong verbal and written communication skills
- 10. Thrives in a collaborative, team player office environment
- 11. Ability to interface well with staff and external contacts of the Authority
- 12. Proven ability to maintain confidentiality
