Baker Tilly is a leading advisory, tax and assurance firm with a global reach. This role joins the rapidly growing tax practice, supporting small and mid‑size business clients with high quality bookkeeping services.
What You Will Do- Work closely with multiple small and mid‑size business clients, providing bookkeeping services.
- Reconcile bank statements and other balance sheet accounts.
- Enter adjusting journal entries.
- Clean up client accounts in preparation of the tax return.
- Provide reports to clients and the tax preparation team.
- Collaborate with clients and respond to client requests and inquiries.
- Onboard and set up bookkeeping accounts in Quick Books Online.
- Assist the tax team with year‑end reporting of 1099s.
- Handle special projects as needed.
- Participate in ongoing education and training to grow professional skills.
- Network and build strong internal and external client relationships.
- Support team members through the Baker Tilly Care and Teach philosophy.
- Engage in social activities and team outings to support work‑life balance.
- Associate’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- 0 to 3 years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting.
- Proficiency in Quick Books Online and Microsoft Excel.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- An understanding of professional services and client service.
- Strong interpersonal skills with an approachable and professional demeanor.
- High attention to detail, problem‑solving, and intellectual curiosity.
- Adherence to the highest level of confidentiality.
- Enjoyment of interacting with clients and providing exceptional service.
- Strong organizational and time‑management abilities.
Pay ranges vary by location:
Atlanta, GA – $22.50 to $33.00 per hour;
Tampa, FL – $20.44 to $30.00 per hour. Baker Tilly offers a comprehensive compensation and benefits package to eligible employees.
