Tax Strategy Leader
Responsible for leading and executing tax strategy across multiple jurisdictions and business units, ensuring compliance with tax regulations while driving initiatives that optimize the company's effective tax rate and cash flow. Directs teams and leads managers, translating enterprise-level objectives into actionable tax strategies and operational plans.
What You'll Do:
- Lead and oversee the company's tax function across direct tax, indirect tax, tax accounting, compliance, controls, forecasting, reporting, and operational execution.
- Partner closely with the VP, Tax to translate strategic priorities into scalable, disciplined operational processes and execution plans.
- Design, optimize, and continuously improve tax processes to support a high-growth, evolving organization and future public company readiness.
- Build, develop, and mentor a high-performing tax team through coaching, performance management, succession planning, and capability development.
- Drive accountability and effective collaboration across internal stakeholders and external advisors to ensure timely and accurate tax deliverables.
- Manage recurring tax activities including returns, payments, reconciliations, audits, documentation, and compliance requirements.
- Oversee tax reporting activities including tax provision support, tax account analysis, audit support, and coordination of tax-related financial statement disclosures.
- Support enterprise forecasting activities including cash tax forecasting, estimated tax projections, effective tax rate (ETR) analysis, and collaboration with FP&A, Treasury, and Controllership teams.
- Identify operational gaps and implement practical, technology-enabled solutions that improve efficiency, controls, data quality, and scalability.
- Lead initiatives focused on automation, systems optimization, and process modernization across the tax function.
- Support mergers, acquisitions, and other strategic transactions through tax diligence, integration activities, compliance assessments, and entity analysis.
- Strengthen internal controls, governance practices, and operational rigor to support a complex and evolving business environment.
What You'll Bring:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required;
Master's degree in Taxation, Accounting, or related discipline preferred. - CPA strongly preferred.
- 10+ years of progressive tax experience within a corporate tax department, public accounting environment, or a combination of both.
- Combination of public accounting and public company experience preferred.
- Broad expertise across direct tax compliance, tax accounting, forecasting, financial reporting support, state tax matters, and tax process improvement initiatives.
- Deep technical knowledge of ASC 740 and experience supporting quarterly and annual income tax reporting requirements.
- Proven success leading teams, developing talent, and effectively managing external advisors and partners.

In-office work and activities vary based on work and team objectives in accordance with Company policies.
While location expectations vary by role, candidates within approximately 50 miles of a U.S. office are generally preferred to support collaboration when needed. Our hybrid approach is flexible, and in-office presence is guided by team and business needs rather than a fixed weekly schedule.
