Our client is a multi-billion dollar, rapidly growing, nationally recognized organization operating in one of today's fastest-growing industries. Continued growth has created a newly established Payroll Specialist position supporting an experienced payroll team.
Reporting directly to the Senior Payroll leader, this role offers the opportunity to do far more than process payroll. You'll play an important role in supporting a rapidly growing workforce while contributing to key payroll initiatives, including continued process improvements and the transition to a new enterprise payroll platform.

Responsibilities- Process accurate and timely multi-state payroll for a growing employee population.
- Review payroll data to ensure accuracy, compliance, and completeness.
- Maintain employee payroll records, including new hires, status changes, deductions, and terminations.
- Support payroll activities for employees covered by Collective Bargaining Agreements (CBAs), ensuring compliance with negotiated payroll provisions.
- Assist with payroll audits, reconciliations, reporting, and year-end processing.
- Partner closely with Human Resources, Finance, and other internal departments to resolve payroll-related issues.
- Participate in payroll process improvement initiatives and support the company's migration to a new enterprise payroll platform.
- Assist with payroll system testing, validation, and implementation activities as needed.
- Help identify opportunities to improve efficiency, accuracy, and the overall employee payroll experience.
- 3+ years of corporate payroll experience.
- Experience processing multi-state payroll.
- Experience supporting union payroll and/or interpreting Collective Bargaining Agreements (CBAs) is strongly preferred.
- Experience with UKG is preferred.
- Experience participating in payroll implementations, system migrations, or transitions from a PEO environment is a significant plus.
- Strong understanding of payroll laws and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and enterprise payroll systems.
- CPP certification is a plus but not required.
- Base salary up to $75,000
