Our client, a fast‑growing manufacturing organization located in the western Atlanta metro area is seeking a skilled Senior Accountant to support the Controller across all core accounting and financial reporting functions. The company has expanded significantly in recent years and continues to invest in modern production capabilities and operational excellence.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands‑on accounting work but also wants exposure to broader business operations, continuous improvement, and strategic financial decision‑making. The environment is collaborative, stable, and team‑oriented, with strong long‑term employee retention.

This position is mostly onsite but will be able to work one day a week remotely.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close activities, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting in accordance with GAAP.
  • Prepare and review financial statements, analyze results, and highlight trends or variances.
  • Complete monthly balance sheet reconciliations, including cash, inventory, receivables, payables, accruals, and other key accounts.
  • Maintain fixed asset records, depreciation schedules, and related documentation.
  • Strengthen and monitor internal controls to ensure accuracy, compliance, and consistency across accounting processes.
  • Coordinate with external auditors and tax professionals during annual audits and regulatory filings.
  • Serve as a point of contact for financial institutions, auditors, and other external partners as needed.
  • Assist with annual budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; CPA preferred but not required.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience with strong GAAP knowledge.
  • Prior exposure to manufacturing or cost accounting strongly preferred (2+ years ideal).
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret financial data.
  • Excellent balance sheet reconciliation abilities.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
  • Advanced proficiency in ERP systems,
    Microsoft Excel
    ; experience with reporting or analytics tools a huge plus.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
