Overall Scope of Role

The Manager, Revenue Accounting will support the controllership organization by leading core revenue accounting operations across Pro Sports & Experiences. Responsibilities include transaction processing, revenue reporting, close execution, and control performance. The role owns the integrity of revenue‑related data flows from contract setup through cash application, revenue recognition, and reporting, ensuring balances are complete, accurate, timely, and supported by audit‑ready documentation.

The position reports to the Director of Revenue Operations & Transformation and partners closely with Revenue Accounting, FP&A, Legal, Sales, Operations, Financial Systems, and external auditors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own day‑to‑day revenue operations, including contract setup support, billing and collections support, revenue transaction review, journal entry preparation and review, account reconciliations, fluctuation analysis, and monthly close deliverables.
  • Execute and evidence revenue‑related SOX controls, maintain ownership of key control activities, prepare audit‑ready support, and proactively address control gaps, process risks, and external audit requests.
  • Partner with Financial Systems and Transformation teams to improve Net Suite and related revenue data flows, support automation initiatives, resolve data quality issues, and build scalable reporting and reconciliation processes.
  • Work with Sales, Legal, FP&A, Operations, Billing and Collections, and Revenue Accounting to ensure contract terms, billing activity, cash application, and revenue recognition conclusions are aligned, documented, and communicated clearly.
  • Manage and develop revenue operations team members, establish clear close calendars and operating routines, assign ownership, monitor deliverables, and reinforce a culture of accuracy, responsiveness, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 6–8+ years of progressive accounting, controllership, revenue operations, or public accounting experience.
  • Strong understanding of ASC
    606, revenue accounting, reconciliations, close processes, and audit support requirements.
  • Experience operating in SOX‑compliant or public company control environments, including control execution, documentation, and remediation support.
  • Advanced Excel and data analysis skills, with demonstrated ability to manage large datasets, identify exceptions, and translate data into actionable close and reporting insights.
  • Preferred:
    Net Suite experience, revenue subledger, billing or collections process exposure, process transformation experience, and industry experience in live events, hospitality, sports, media, or ticketing.
