Junior Corporate Tax Accountant
Pay Rate $50.00/hour-$51.50/hour
Duration 6 Months

Primary Purpose:
Our client is seeking a Corporate Income Tax Accountant to analyze financial transactions and support the preparation of federal and state income tax returns. This position will assist with tax compliance, tax accounting, financial reporting, documentation, and planning initiatives for the organization and its subsidiaries.
Principal Duties- Prepare and file federal and state income tax returns, estimated tax payments, extensions, claims, and related documentation in accordance with applicable deadlines.
- Assist with maintaining and verifying tax payment and accrual records to ensure accurate federal and state tax reporting.
- Review income statement and balance sheet activity to determine the appropriate tax treatment under federal and state regulations.
- Support special studies and projects related to federal and state tax-planning initiatives.
- Assist with developing income tax accruals and related work papers in accordance with current tax laws, regulations, and financial-reporting requirements.
- Prepare supporting documentation for federal and state tax positions.
- Assist in responding to tax audits, regulatory inquiries, and requests for supporting information.
- Maintain organized and accurate tax records, schedules, and supporting documentation.
- Collaborate with internal accounting and finance teams to obtain information needed for tax filings and reporting.
- Monitor relevant filing deadlines and help ensure timely completion of assigned tax-compliance activities.
- Bachelor s degree in Accounting, Taxation, Business, Economics, or a related field preferred.
- Approximately one to three years of accounting, corporate tax, or related experience preferred.
- Experience preparing or supporting federal and state income tax returns.
- Understanding of income statements, balance sheets, tax accruals, and tax work papers.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet established deadlines.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.

Certified Public Accountant, or CPA, designation is preferred but not required.
Work ArrangementRemote-work eligibility may be available for candidates who hold an active CPA license, subject to our client s policies and business requirements.
