Human Resources Payroll Administrator

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced payroll professional to prepare and process accurate, timely payroll for a multi-state financial institution. The ideal candidate brings strong full‑cycle payroll expertise, Workday experience, and a solid understanding of payroll accounting and general ledger reconciliation.

Workday experience required.

• Manage full-cycle payroll, including regular and off-cycle processing, employee changes, new hires, terminations, earnings, deductions, and taxes.
• Review time records, audit payroll results, process corrections, and ensure employees are paid accurately and on time.
• Administer multi-state payroll taxes, garnishments, benefit and retirement deductions, bonuses, incentives, and commissions.
• Reconcile payroll-related general ledger accounts and prepare or support payroll journal entries.
• Coordinate tax filings, W-2 processing, year-end activities, compliance reporting, and audit requests.
• Respond to employee questions and provide clear guidance on payroll policies and procedures.
• Troubleshoot Workday payroll and timekeeping issues, support system updates, and recommend process improvements.

• 6+ years of hands‑on, full‑cycle payroll experience.
• Experience processing payroll utilizing Workday
• Strong knowledge of multi-state payroll taxes, wage-and-hour requirements, deductions, garnishments, compliance, and year‑end processing.
• Workday payroll experience strongly preferred.
• Experience with payroll-related GL reconciliation and payroll accounting.
• Proficient with Excel, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
