Senior Accountant

Insight Global is looking for a Senior Staff Accountant to support a manufacturing company located in Doraville, GA. In this role you will prepare and approve journal entries and reconciliations and deal with a variety of fixed assets, cash, pre-pays, general accruals and perform year-end annual audit actives. This role will require you to work hybrid (3 days a week in office Tue-Thurs) in Doraville, GA.

• Execute general accounting processes to support multiple cost centers and plants
• Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations
• Perform month-end, quarter-end and year-end close procedures
• Research, track, and resolve accounting issues
• Assist with analytical activities to support both internal and external reporting in accordance with accounting policies, U.S. GAAP, and other statutory or government reporting guidelines
• Answer accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data to support the timely reporting of key financial information as required by supervisors
• Understand and execute internal controls related to accountabilities; proactively seek opportunities to strengthen internal controls
• Partner with other functional groups such as Operations Finance, Corporate, and Sales Finance groups to provide accounting support as needed
• Assist with the development of accounting policies and procedures and recommend changes to improve processes
• Assist in the resolution of discrepancies and data maintenance
• Protect organization s value by keeping information confidential
• Support external and internal audit requirements
• Ensure agreed upon Service Level Agreements are met
• Ad-hoc tasks and/or projects as necessary

• 8+ years of senior/staff level corporate accounting experience
• Experience with Oracle FCSS, Blackline, and ERP systems such as OHM
• Experience with preparing and approving journal entries and reconciliations along with dealing with fixed assets, cash, pre-pays, and general accruals
• Experience with year-end annual audit activities

• CFG background or experience within the manufacturing industry
• Professional accountancy certification such as CPA, CIMA, ACCA or ACA preferred

$45/hr to $70/hr.

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
