Project Accountant Job Atlanta area,Georgia USA,Accounting

Growing project-based professional services organization seeking a Project Accountant with strong industry experience.

IMPORTANT: Candidates without Engineering, Architecture, Structural Engineering or similar project-driven professional services experience will not be considered.

Must-Have Qualifications

5+ years of Project Accounting experience
Must have Engineering, Architecture, Structural Engineering, or similar project-based services industry experience
Extensive experience with:
- Project billing
- Revenue recognition
- Change orders
- Project financial reviews
- Project profitability analysis
Strong partnership experience with Project Managers
Ability to build credibility and relationships with operations teams
Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs/XLOOKUPs, formulas)
Strong attention to detail and ownership mentality

Preferred

Architectural or Engineering firm background
Acumatica experience
Deltek experience
WIP reporting experience
Construction project accounting experience
