Paradies Lagardère is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our Accounting team. This role is responsible for owning the end-to-end royalty and licensing fee accounting process, ensuring accurate calculations, accruals, invoicing, reporting, and compliance with contractual agreements. The position also plays a key role in supporting the company's SAP Dining operations through financial analysis, inventory and cost-of-sales accounting, and process improvement initiatives.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Royalty & Licensing Accounting- Own the full royalty and licensing fee accounting lifecycle, including calculations, accruals, invoicing, reporting, and payment administration.
- Interpret contractual agreements to ensure royalties are accurately calculated and applied in accordance with contract terms.
- Prepare monthly royalty accruals using estimated and actual sales data.
- Maintain detailed schedules, supporting documentation, and audit-ready records.
- Reconcile royalty and licensing accounts and investigate discrepancies.
- Prepare monthly licensing fee amortization entries and supporting analysis.
- Prepare and review monthly journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
- Support month-end and quarter-end close activities related to royalties, inventory, dining cost of sales (COGS), and other accruals.
- Analyze financial results and identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
- Ensure compliance with accounting policies and internal controls.
- Support accounting activities related to SAP Dining operations, including inventory and cost-of-sales analysis.
- Partner closely with Operations and Finance leadership to provide insights into dining performance and profitability.
- Assist with the migration and integration of dining locations into SAP while ensuring data accuracy and operational continuity.
- Support inventory accounting and related financial reporting requirements.
- Identify and implement process improvements, automation opportunities, and enhanced controls across accounting workflows.
- Collaborate with Finance, Operations, Legal, Sales, and Business Development teams on royalty agreements, vendor setup, reporting requirements, and new business initiatives.
- Support special projects and continuous improvement efforts that enhance efficiency, scalability, and accuracy.
- Contribute to the modernization of accounting processes through technology and workflow optimization.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related business discipline.
- 5+ years of public accounting, corporate accounting, or a combination of both.
- Strong understanding of accrual accounting, account reconciliations, and financial reporting.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, lookups, and data analysis techniques.
- Experience working with ERP systems; SAP experience is strongly preferred.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities with the ability to work effectively across all levels of the organization.
- Experience with royalty, licensing, lease, or contract-based accounting.
- Experience supporting retail, hospitality, food service, or inventory-intensive operations.
- Familiarity with SAP, Craftable, Restaurant
365, TCPOS, Data Central, or similar business systems. - Experience leading or supporting process automation and continuous improvement initiatives.
