Corporate Accounting And Sec Reporting Manager
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Coordination and preparation of all SEC filings including 10-Qs, 10-Ks, 8-Ks, 11-Ks, proxy material and annual reports. All reporting must be completed within the requisite time frame.
- Ownership of the preparation, accuracy, completion and timeliness of external financial statements and disclosures.
- Routine accounting close activities may include review of consolidated balance sheet and profit and loss statement.
- Responsible for maintaining and updating general accounting policies.
- Ensure compliance with all GAAP and SEC accounting and reporting requirements, as well as federal, state, local reporting requirements.
- Monitor, evaluate and influence progress toward departmental goals.
- Research and draft technical memoranda to present a strategy on proposed or new accounting and SEC regulations that may impact the company.
- Interact closely with the external auditors and legal counsel.
- Develop and implement best practices in SEC reporting function.
- Perform other functions and duties as needed and/or required.
Qualifications:
Education and/or Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in accounting with at least 8 years experience in accounting with experience in public accounting a strong plus. Minimum of 2 years in a SEC reporting role.
- CPA designation desirable
- Prior preparation of SEC filings including Form 10-Q, Form 10-K, Form 8-K and proxy statements.
- Thorough understanding of GAAP and SEC reporting requirements.
- Strong computer skills required? experience with Microsoft Office applications, accounting software systems and forecasting/budgeting tools.
- Ability to perform well under pressure and in a high-volume and changing environment.
- Demonstrates consistency, flexibility, and commitment to meet deadlines.
- Self-starter who relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
- Effective ability to leverage team and drive results.
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, including ability to resolve disputes and observe confidentiality.
- Supervisor experienced required.
Salary - 90-95k
