Position Summary

The Staff Accountant will serve as a key member of the finance team, partnering closely with the Head of Finance to support daily accounting operations, financial reporting, and process improvement initiatives. This role offers broad exposure across multiple accounting functions and will play an integral part in supporting the company's continued domestic and international growth. The ideal candidate has a strong accounting foundation, enjoys solving problems, and is looking to grow into a Senior Accountant and beyond as the organization expands.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and post journal entries in accordance with GAAP.
  • Perform monthly bank, balance sheet, and general ledger reconciliations.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end close activities.
  • Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions as needed.
  • Prepare account reconciliations, schedules, and supporting documentation.
  • Assist in preparing monthly financial statements and management reports.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and company accounting policies.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Assist with intercompany accounting and international financial transactions.
  • Partner with internal departments to improve accounting processes and efficiencies.
  • Provide documentation and schedules for external audits and tax preparation.
  • Participate in special projects and finance initiatives as the organization continues to grow.
  • Serve as a trusted accounting partner and support resource for the Head of Finance.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
  • Excellent Project Management skills
  • 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and general accounting principles.
  • Experience with month-end close and account reconciliations.
  • Working knowledge of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables and XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP.
  • Experience with an ERP system such as Net Suite, Sage Intacct, Microsoft Dynamics, SAP, Oracle, or similar.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience in a multi-entity or international environment is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
  • CPA or actively pursuing CPA certification.
  • Experience with foreign currency transactions or international accounting.
  • Experience working in a high-growth or rapidly scaling organization.
  • Internship or early career experience supporting finance teams will also be considered for exceptional candidates.
