The OpportunityThe company owns and manages approximately 12 operating properties, including 11 retail shopping centers and one commercial office property
, along with additional land holdings.
The Commercial Real Estate Property Accountant will have responsibility for property-level accounting
, with a particular emphasis on CAM, real estate tax, and insurance reconciliations
.
This is a great opportunity for someone who understands the accounting behind commercial properties and wants to work closely with company leadership in a smaller, entrepreneurial environment.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and review CAM reconciliations
- Handle real estate tax and insurance reconciliations
- Maintain property-level accounting and financial records
- Support month-end close and account reconciliations
- Work with accounting and property information in Yardi
- Assist with financial reporting and analysis across the portfolio
- Serve as a key accounting resource to company leadership
- 2–3+ years of commercial real estate/property accounting experience
- Retail shopping center accounting experience strongly preferred
- Hands‑on experience with CAM reconciliations
- Knowledge of real estate tax and insurance reconciliations
- ARGUS experience is a plus
- Strong analytical, organizational, and reconciliation skills
- Ability to succeed in a smaller, entrepreneurial real estate environment
