Senior Accountant

We are seeking a dynamic Senior Accountant who will be responsible for supporting the Corporate Accounting Department. The role will prepare a variety of journal entries, reconcile and analyze balance sheet and operating statement accounts, maintain the books of the holding company and assist with the year end audit. The Senior Accountant should be tech savvy (having the ability to implement new tools, build analytic models and reports) to support continuous improvement in this high growth environment, be sound in their technical accounting knowledge and enjoy interacting with others.

What you'll do:

• Responsible for the timely and accurate review and posting of month-end close and accounting transactions, including income statement and balance sheet account analysis, review, reconciliation and resolution and ensuring overall general ledger integrity and financial compliance
• Prepare analytics and models to better understand business results while partnering with the Finance team to understand budgets and forecast and the related variances
• Coordinate and transform accounting and finance activities with cross functional partners across the business
• Assist with special projects as needed
• Assist with external audit timelines and assigned tasks
• Supports the success of the organization by focusing on continuous improvements in business processes and preparation of process documentation
• Use technology to streamline manual processes and/or reporting and/or creating analytics
• Assist in the implementation of new technology and writing of reports

Job Requirements

• Accounting degree, required
• 3-5 years of Accounting experience
• Public accounting experience, preferred
• MBA or CPA certification is a plus

• Positive attitude
• Ability to effectively / independently manage multiple requests
• Technology savvy (not afraid to implement new technology). Advanced skills with Excel, required.
• Proficient with accounting systems
