Audit Intern – Spring 2028 | Bennett Thrasher The Tone:
This is a full-time internship at Bennett Thrasher, located in Atlanta, GA. Bennett Thrasher is an accounting firm that offers the expertise and opportunities of a large firm within a culture that prioritizes commitment to its people and a family-like work atmosphere. Collaborates with associates across practices and interacts with clients under the guidance of Seniors and Managers. - Mission:
To assist in performing financial reporting engagement procedures and operational/financial audits to ensure financial statements are fairly presented in accordance with GAAP. - Tech Stack:
Current technology and software, Accounting Research Manager
- Engage:
Perform financial reporting engagement procedures and complete audit programs as directed by supervisors. - Document:
Clearly and adequately document working papers for assigned sections. - Analyze:
Review and analyze data concerning material assets, liabilities, income, and expenditures in financial statements. - Evaluate:
Develop and perform effective analytical procedures on account balances, relating outcomes to other assigned areas as applicable. - Audit:
Plan and perform operational and financial audits to ensure financial statements are fairly presented in accordance with GAAP, utilizing the firm’s audit approach.
- Background:
Entry-level student pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in Accounting with a GPA of 3.2 or higher. - Experience:
Basic knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) is required. - Skills:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, a strong commitment to professional and client service excellence, and effective use of current technology and software.
