- Perform post-award processing of grants and contracts
- Provide account management, reconciliation, and issue resolution for principal investigators and research support personnel
- Advise on and interpret research funding awards
- Approve and/or monitor accounting and procurement expenditures in accordance with regulatory and University practices
- Provide direct support for accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
- Interpret policies and procedures for academic departments
- Assist with preparing reports for federal and sponsoring agencies
- Review contracts and maintain grant and contract files
- Review invoices and monitor accounts receivable and deliverable reports
- Develop queries and reports in the financial system
- Work with division business managers to resolve contractual issues
- Communicate with sponsors
- Ensure compliance with contract regulations and reporting requirements
- Close out contracts
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting or Finance
- 5 years of professional accounting or financial analysis experience
- Research/sponsored programs accounting experience preferred
- Equivalent combination of experience, education and training accepted
- Must reside in the state of Georgia
- Must be able to commute to Emory University on a flexible weekly schedule based on business needs
Demonstrates expertise in post-award processing of grants and contracts, including account management, compliance with contract regulations, and financial reporting. Proficient in interpreting research funding awards and providing support for accounts payable and receivable processes.
