The Atlanta Opera is holding auditions for the position of Principal Percussionist. The audition will take place on November 9, 2026, with a résumé submission. Candidates will be notified if they are invited to audition by October 27, 2026. The audition repertoire will be available on September 28, 2026. The audition will be held at 1575 Northside Drive NW, Suite 350, Atlanta, GA 30318.
It is important to be aware that the Atlanta Opera does not provide financial assistance for auditions, and warm-up space will be limited at the venue. The selected candidate will be expected to accept the position for the 2027/28 Mainstage Season, which runs approximately from October to early June. Additionally, the winner may be invited to participate in the current season from March to May 2027, although this is not mandatory.
Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States and will need to provide documentation for identity and employment eligibility during the onboarding process.
