Full Charge Bookkeeper

Description We are looking for an experienced Full Charge Bookkeeper to support accounting operations for a real estate property and facilities management organization in Atlanta, Georgia. This contract-to-permanent opportunity is ideal for a self-directed, detail-oriented individual who can manage day-to-day financial activities with accuracy, sound judgment, and minimal supervision. The position requires a strong analytical mindset, the ability to clearly interpret financial results, and hands-on expertise with Quick Books in an on-site environment.

Responsibilities:

- Oversee the complete bookkeeping cycle, maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring transactions are properly recorded from start to finish.

- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable activities, including invoice processing, payment tracking, collections follow-up, and account maintenance.

- Perform regular bank and account reconciliations to confirm balances, identify discrepancies, and resolve issues promptly.

- Prepare financial reports and supporting summaries that help leadership understand performance, cash flow, and account activity.

- Maintain the general ledger and review entries for completeness, consistency, and compliance with internal accounting practices.

- Work independently to prioritize deadlines, organize accounting workflows, and deliver reliable results with limited day-to-day oversight.

- Communicate financial findings clearly, translating numerical data into practical explanations for stakeholders and decision-makers.

- Support onboarding into the role and coordinate with the team regarding tools or equipment needed to begin work effectively. Requirements - At least 5 years of hands-on bookkeeping experience with responsibility for full-cycle accounting functions.

- Proficiency in Quick Books and confidence using it to manage daily bookkeeping and reporting activities.

- Practical experience handling accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.

- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field.

- Ability to work independently and demonstrate strong personal accountability in a fast-paced environment.

- Analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and explain key figures clearly to others.

- Detail-oriented approach, sound judgment, and a dependable on-site work style, especially during the initial phase of the assignment.
