Job SummaryThis position provides comprehensive administrative support to the Assistant Dean of Instruction and Innovation and faculty leader of the College of Nursing’s Community Engagement Strategic Initiative.
Responsibilities- Calendar and Meeting Management - Maintain and coordinate the Assistant Dean’s calendar. Schedule meetings, appointments, and instructional planning sessions. Anticipate scheduling needs and resolve conflicts proactively.
- Travel and Itinerary Coordination - Arrange travel accommodations including flights, lodging, and transportation. Prepare detailed itineraries. Process travel reimbursements in accordance with institutional policies.
- Calendar & Scheduling Coordination - Coordinate and maintain the Nursing Faculty Leader’s calendar. Schedule internal and external meetings, events, and community engagement activities. Send calendar invites and manage scheduling conflicts.
- Meeting Coordination - Prepare and distribute meeting agendas in advance. Take detailed meeting minutes and distribute them post‑meeting. Track follow‑up tasks and ensure timely completion. Reserve meeting rooms and set up virtual meeting links.
- Supply Management - Monitor and maintain inventory of office and event supplies. Order necessary materials for community engagement events and faculty needs. Coordinate with vendors and campus procurement systems.
- Communication Support - Draft and send professional emails, memos, and announcements. Serve as a point of contact for internal departments and external community partners. Assist in preparing presentations and reports.
- Event Support - Assist in planning and logistics for community engagement events. Coordinate with community partners and stakeholders. Manage RSVPs, event materials, and on‑site support.
- Documentation & Record Keeping - Maintain organized digital and physical files related to community initiatives. Track engagement activities and outcomes for reporting purposes.
- Jag Pulse Champion - Promote Jag Pulse to students, faculty, and staff; share communications and reports; encourage platform use; create and manage events; access reporting tools and student participation.
- Medical Reserve Corps – College of Nursing - Provide administrative support, maintain volunteer rosters, track compliance with MRC training.
- General Administrative Support - Assist with travel arrangements and reimbursements, support grant-related administrative tasks, perform other duties as assigned.
Educational Requirements: Associate’s degree in a related field and a minimum of 3 years of progressively responsible administrative experience, OR High School/GED with 6 years progressively responsible administrative experience.
Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office.
- Ability to work collaboratively with faculty, staff, students, and external partners.
Shift: Days/M-F
Pay Band: 2
Salary Minimum: $15.77/hour – $18.89/hour
Salary to be commensurate with qualifications of the selected candidate within the established range (generally minimum-midpoint) of the position.
Recruitment Period: 2/9/26 Until Filled

Conditions of Employment- Successful completion of a Background Check.
- Credit check for Positions of Trust or approved departmental Purchase Card usage (if applicable).
- Motor vehicle reports required for positions that require driving an Augusta University vehicle.
- Proof of completed academic degree(s) and post‑secondary coursework for Faculty hires.
- Responsible for confidentiality, availability, and integrity of sensitive information by adhering to cybersecurity and privacy policies.
The Human Resources Division will request a driver's history report for the selected candidate(s). The selected candidate must have a valid driver's license.
