Job Summary

This position provides administrative academic support for the College of Allied Health Sciences programs. Under the direction of the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs, provide guidance to the Academic and Student Affairs support team. Ensure all educational activities within the College of Allied Health Sciences are conducted efficiently, meet compliance requirements and are aligned with the college's goals in educational excellence.

Provide administrative support to Associate Dean for Academic Affairs to include the oversight of the Associate's Dean's calendar.

Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support to the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs, Alpha Eta Society, CAHS Background Check Committee, and Faculty Council (calendar management, scheduling meetings, preparation of meeting agendas and minutes, etc.).
  • Under the direction of Alpha Eta Officers, facilitate Alpha Eta Society membership dues (collection of dues, prepare bank deposits, bank reconciliation, review with Alpha Eta Officers to obtain necessary approvals).
  • Provide administrative support for Dean's office as needed to include answering phones, greeting visitors.
  • Work collaboratively with admissions, academic and student affairs, and institutional effectiveness to maintain student data for all CAHS academic programs.
  • Prepare statistical analyses and reports for use by the Associate Dean of Academic Affairs, program directors, administrators, and external customers.
  • Develop reports and analyze data for all academic programs within CAHS; work with databases and software to track student/program related information; maintain complete filing system for programmatic documents.
  • Provide administrative support in development and submission of new program proposals.
  • Implement recruitment efforts for all CAHS academic programs (participate in recruitment events, coordinate student recruitment activities, facilitate communication between the college and various institutional offices).
  • Coordinate and provide support for students and faculty functions within the CAHS (assemblies, student and faculty orientation).
  • Facilitate the processes for student awards and scholarships under the oversight of the Associate Dean and Alpha Eta.
  • Prepare and process CAHS Student Liability annual payment.
  • Support accreditation process for all CAHS academic programs and AU; serve as a resource for deans, chairs, and faculty to implement policies and procedures related to the academic mission.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Provide back‑up coverage for clinical contracts to include clinical education and memorandums of understanding.
Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with a minimum of one year of experience in an administrative support role.

  • Knowledge
    :
    Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint) and other computer software/databases.

    Excellent customer service, interpersonal, multi‑tasking, organizational, verbal and written communication skills.

    :
    Ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously, meet deadlines despite often interruptions, maintain confidentiality, keep accurate records and make independent decisions.
Shift / Salary / Benefits

Shift: Days/M-F

Pay Band: B7

Salary:
Minimum $20.29/hour - Midpoint: $21.39/hour

Salary to be commensurate with qualifications within the established range (generally minimum–midpoint) of the position.

Benefits:
Health insurance, dental insurance, life insurance, Teachers Retirement System (or Optional Retirement Plan), earned vacation time, sick leave, and 13 paid holidays.

Full‑time employees may be considered for the Tuition Assistance Program after 6 months of employment.

Conditions of Employment
  • All selected candidates must successfully pass a Background Check review prior to starting.
  • For positions requiring financial responsibility: a credit check is required (positions of trust or approved departmental Purchase Card usage).
  • Motor vehicle reports are required for positions that require driving an Augusta University vehicle.
  • Faculty hires: proof of completed academic degrees and post‑secondary coursework (original transcript(s)); foreign‑educated candidates must provide an educational/credential evaluation.
