Education and/Or Experience
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related field. Minimum of six years of progressively responsible professional experience. Must be able to use independent judgment, comprehensive organizational knowledge, and experience to handle diverse, confidential, and time sensitive issues. Highly effective verbal, writing, analytical, and problem-solving skills are required. Must be able to provide Executive Officers and Board Members with accurate and timely information.
Must have experience in document control and the maintenance, storage and retrieval of official records and documentation. Advanced skills in personal computer applications required. May be required to work outside normal office hours to attend meetings and meet deadlines. A Master's degree may be substituted for two years of the required experience. In lieu of a degree, directly related experience may be substituted on a year for year basis.
The selection process may include one or more components to demonstrate applicants’ knowledge, skills and abilities in job-related areas. These may include exercises such as practical demonstrations, written communications, oral interview and/or competency assessments.
Summary
Provides senior level administrative support to MARTA Executive Officers. Supports the C – Team. Serves as a lead to Executive Administrator. Ensures completion of multiple assignments and projects with conflicting workload assignments. Tracks and manages the preparation and development of agendas and supporting documentation for official and ad hoc meetings. Assists in the planning and tracking of annual budgets and expenditures.
Uses independent judgment, organizational knowledge, skills, and experience to handle diverse, confidential, and time sensitive issues. On behalf of the Executive Officer or the Manager of Executive Office Administration, confers with AGMs, Directors and Department Administrators on matters pertaining to their respective business units. Ensure deliverables are completed and timelines are met. Provides cross-support for other Sr. Executive Administrators and for Executive Office personnel as may be necessary.
May serve as lead staffer to lower-level Executive Administrators, administrative or clerical personnel.
