Administrative Assistant - MARTA Eligibility
The role of the Eligibility Administrative Assistant is to provide a wide variety of technical and administrative functions involving the eligibility determination for participation in MARTA's Mobility program and to also provide information and assistance to the Eligibility Specialist regarding customers eligibility status.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities- Explain Mobility program and eligibility requirements to applicants.
- Screen and process applications and consider various factors to determine program eligibility.
- Notify applicants and program participants of eligibility status and updates related to the certification process.
- Maintain various records within database, enter and retrieve data; ensure reliability of database; scan documents and maintain electronic files.
- Attend department meetings; participate in a variety of mandatory training activities.
- Experience conducting information-gathering relating to ADA Paratransit eligibility, or related health care.
- Intermediate level of proficiency or above with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel & PowerPoint).
- Knowledge of the public transportation system & services is preferable.
- Perform all other related duties as assigned.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States and not require work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future.
- Solid interviewing, assessment and observational skills and demonstrated ability to work effectively with a diverse population.
- Ability to be trained in administering a variety of tasks and assignments.
- Ability to clearly communicate findings and observations on the required database reports and notes, as well as in certification letters.
- Good customer service skills.
- Desire to learn additional programs.
- Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours.
- Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment.
- Ability to work under limited supervision.
- Ability to make clear and factual observations.
- Additional language skills are preferred.
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
