The Office of Graduate and Postdoctoral Education (GPE) is a unit of the Office of the Provost with a mission that supports Georgia Tech's mission by providing services, advocacy, and development programs for graduate students and postdocs, as well as oversight and strategic initiatives to graduate education.
Job SummaryProvide high level, specialized administrative services within a campus unit, usually in direct support of unit management. Position usually encompasses organization of office services within area including coordinating calendars, meetings and events, budget administration, procurement and report preparation. May provide work coordination and supervision to lower level administrative personnel within the unit. This position will interact on a consistent basis with unit management and staff, vendors and office visitors.
This position typically will advise and counsel administrative staff. This position may supervise lower level administrative staff.
- Develop and implement unit administrative processes and procedures consistent with overall Institute administrative policy.
- Define and communicate administrative staff duties; monitor performance and provide feedback.
- Supervise the maintenance of unit financial records.
- Oversee unit human resources administration to include transaction processing, time reporting and records maintenance.
- Supervise and coordinate direct administrative support to unit management. Organize and supervise unit records management function.
- Coordinate unit purchasing activities, including preparation of purchasing documents, ordering and maintaining supplies, etc.
- Schedule and organize meetings and other events.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Educational Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience. - Required Experience:
Four to five years of job related experience.
Salary Range: $60,000-$70,000
