Overview

Clyde & Co’s Atlanta office is seeking an experienced Legal Assistant to support our litigation and insurance coverage teams part-time from 5pm to 9pm EST Monday through Friday. The ideal candidate will have excellent grammar and proofreading skills, be highly motivated, detail-oriented, and able to multitask and work independently. Must have extensive experience with eFiling procedures for Federal and State Courts.

Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support to Partners and their teams
  • Proofread, format, and finalize outgoing documents (TOA and TOC)
  • Prepare shell documents (pleadings, discovery, motions, correspondence)
  • Prepare document productions (encrypting media, drafting transmittal letters, logging Bates numbers)
  • Prepare exhibits
  • Assist with conflicts checks and opening new matters for new and existing clients using InTapp Open
  • Assist with managing and monitoring attorney calendars
  • Assist with ad hoc projects as necessary
  • Assist with travel arrangements (car, hotel, airfare)
  • Assist with arrangements for depositions, mediations, trials, and arbitrations
  • Assist with setting up conference calls and arranging meetings
  • Assist with preparing and processing expense reports for attorneys
  • Assist with review, proofreading and sending of monthly client invoices
  • Assist with ongoing and fiscal year-end collections
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 10+ years insurance coverage experience in a law firm, with preference for litigation and insurance coverage experience
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Extremely detail-oriented with superior grammar and proofreading skills
  • Advanced user of Microsoft Word and Outlook
  • Extensive experience with State and Federal eFilings
  • Ability to multi-task and work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Experience with iManage or an equivalent document management system
  • Proficient to advanced user of PDF programs (e.g., Adobe, Nuance/Kofax)
