ADRC Triage Support Specialist

The Atlanta Regional Commission (ARC) is the regional planning and intergovernmental coordination agency that focuses on issues critical to the region's success, including growth and development, transportation, water resources, services for older adults, and workforce solutions. ARC is dedicated to unifying the region's collective resources to prepare the metropolitan area for a prosperous future. This is done through professional planning initiatives, the provision of objective information, and the involvement of the community in collaborative partnerships.

The ADRC Triage Support Specialist will work in coordination with the Access to Services Section manager and ADRC supervisors to provide advanced and complex administrative support for the ADRC that includes ADRC intake processing; compilation of data for reporting; organization and tracking of ADRC intake information; and general staff support.

The primary function of this position is to assist with calls and referrals into the ADRC, triage ADRC intakes to identify correct priority level and assignment and enter client information into approved client management database(s).

This is a part-time, temporary position up to 15 hours per week. This role is fully remote after the introductory period. There are occasionally times that this position requires coming into the office. Individual must reside in Georgia.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Prepares, organizes, and maintains files, logs and records; enters and updates system data; reviews and maintains schedules; photocopies documents; maintains and secures confidential and sensitive information;
  • Responsible for answering incoming calls through the designated phone system, triaging callers' needs, and routing inquiries appropriately.
  • Provides basic research in assigned areas; compiling information and entering information into related databases; extracts information from databases and creates and edits charts and reports;
  • Compiles, organizes, and tracks data and information; reviews and verifies data for accuracy and completion; prepares and distributes standard reports, notices, requests, documents and/or correspondence; monitors completion, authorization and timely return of applicable documents and forms;
  • Provides clerical and administrative office support that may include scheduling meetings; coordinating meeting logistics; maintaining and ordering supplies; reception duties; preparing and mailing correspondence and providing customer service.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support agency goals and objectives.
Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED and four years of related administrative support or customer service experience

OR

• An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above, unless otherwise subject to any other requirements set forth in law or regulation.

Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of the Aging Network, experience in the field of aging/disabilities

SPECIAL REQUIREMENT: Selected candidate will be subject to a criminal background check.

  • Knowledge of database operations sufficient for entering and extracting data

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams and PowerPoint) and data management systems.
