Patient Services Coordinator – Temporary

• Serve as the first contact with patients and parents
• Answer and screen telephone calls
• Verify patient insurance coverage and obtain referrals as needed
• Collect charge slips and co-payments and batch appropriately
• Schedule procedures and follow-up appointments
• Ensure and review demographic data for outpatient clinic visits
• Enter data into IDX/GPMS or Gerber Alley computer systems
• Operate standard office equipment, including copier and fax machine
• Type labels, envelopes, routine forms, and correspondence as needed
• Travel to satellite locations and assist with back-office duties as needed
• Perform related responsibilities as required

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
• One year of clerical or secretarial experience
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Customer service skills
• Ability to perform tasks in person at an Emory University location; remote work is not an option

Demonstrates strong customer service and interpersonal skills while managing patient interactions and administrative tasks. Proficient in data entry and scheduling within healthcare environments, ensuring accurate patient information and efficient office operations.
