We are looking to hire a Sr. Administrative Assistant for a 3 month contract onsite in Atlanta!
The Senior Administrative Assistant provides advanced administrative and operational support to the Psychology Department Chair, faculty, students, and visitors. This role serves as the primary administrative liaison for the department and is responsible for office operations, budget and grant tracking, purchasing, scheduling, records management, communications, event coordination, and customer service.
Key Responsibilities- Manage departmental budgets, grants, expenditures, reconciliations, and financial records.
- Process purchase requisitions, invoices, expense reports, travel arrangements, and budget documentation.
- Coordinate department events, meetings, orientations, open houses, and faculty activities.
- Maintain departmental databases, records, files, course schedules, and confidential information.
- Serve as the department's first point of contact, responding to inquiries and supporting students, faculty, staff, and visitors.
- Prepare correspondence, reports, spreadsheets, newsletters, presentations, and other administrative documents.
- Monitor office operations, supplies, facilities, and vendor/service needs.
- Provide administrative support to faculty, supervise departmental workflows, and assist with special projects.
- Five years of administrative experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience in an academic environment preferred.
- Strong organizational, communication, customer service, budgeting, and multitasking skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and database systems.
