Regulatory Compliance Specialist
We are seeking a Regulatory Compliance Manager responsible for managing risks related to non-compliance with product hazard regulations, as well as customer and supplier contract requirements. This role involves developing and maintaining professional relationships with internal stakeholders (operations, quality, product engineering, catalog, supply chain, contract accounts, etc.), government agencies, and professional organizations. Additionally, the role includes managing outreach information in a consolidated SharePoint and working with suppliers to ensure compliance with applicable regulations and legislations.
Position Responsibilities
- Develop procedures and reports to generate supplier lists and surveys as required by the compliance calendar or business needs.
- Conduct gap analysis with category teams and suppliers to ensure product compliance, executing sales bans or releases as needed.
- Prepare risk management and compliance reports for customers, sales teams, or government agencies upon request.
- Track diversity spend per contract requirements and manage corrective actions for non-compliance events.
- Report on KPIs related to compliance to minimize liability risks.
- Manage outreach efforts to educate and inform stakeholders about compliance requirements.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
- 5-7+ years in regulatory compliance, supplier diversity, engineering, or related fields.
- Preferred: 5+ years automotive industry experience.
- Strong attention to detail and proficiency with data analytics tools like Power
BI, regulation apps, and supplier spend applications. - Critical thinking skills to develop action plans and anticipate risks.
- Ability to distill complex data into concise reports.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
