CUSTOMS BROKERAGE SUPERVISOR About the Organization

Responsibilities
  • Supervise, train, and coach Entry-Writing/CHB staff.
  • Assign accounts and distribute workload across the team.
  • Measure performance of staff and address any emerging issues.
  • Support local branch Import Transportation teams with brokerage requirements.
  • Troubleshoot freight issues with US Customs and other government agencies.
  • Enhance department performance in collaboration with the Customs Brokerage Manager.
  • Complete Entry work and audit files for accuracy as needed.
  • Oversee billing processes and monitor dwell time for all files.
  • Improve procedures and streamline the Entry department workflow.
  • On-board new clients according to sales or client-specific SOPs.
  • Verify accuracy of US Customs information on all documentation.
  • Execute projects and provide support as assigned by management.
Qualifications
  • Accreditation: Certified Customs Specialist (CCS) required;
    Licensed Customs Broker preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years working with US Customs and other government agencies.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Thorough understanding of US Customs rules and regulations.
  • Leadership: Prior experience in personnel supervision and/or training.
