Sr. Sourcing Analyst, IT​/Technology

Position Purpose

The Senior Sourcing Analyst is a key member of the Sourcing team responsible for sourcing assigned indirect products and services for The Home Depot. This role supports the team in the development and execution of strategic sourcing initiatives and works closely with Sourcing Managers to execute sourcing and contracting activities.

• Market Research/Category Management (25%) – completes supply market research, presents learnings, and provides support for ad‑hoc reporting.
• RFx Development, Evaluation & Analysis (25%) – supports requirements definition, market analysis, the RFx process, proposes supplier recommendations, and negotiates.
• Financial/Cost Analysis (25%) – conducts financial analysis of spend details, assists with cost‑ownership analytics.
• Communication/Project Control (25%) – manages sourcing system updates, stakeholder communications, event support, timelines, analysis, and RFx development.

• Bachelor’s Degree in a business‑related field.
• 2–4 years of relevant work experience.
• CPSM certification or sourcing experience.
• Strong knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint.

• Ability to perform detailed analyses and create executive summaries.
• Ability to create ad‑hoc reporting.
• Ability to present and defend own work and others’ to senior leadership.
• Ability to work independently and influence non‑supervised individuals.
• Ability to work cross‑functionally, multi‑task, and manage projects to meet deadlines.
• Effective verbal and written communication internally and externally.
