About the Role

The Purchase Order Analyst is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and policy compliance of purchase order data at the time of creation. This role supports company‑wide data integrity by reviewing submitted purchase orders, comparing them against service agreements, identifying discrepancies, and collaborating with relevant teams to resolve issues. This is a remote role.

What you’ll be doing
  • Review and validate Purchase Orders for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to company policies.
  • Audit purchase order data against defined requirements, including verification against active service agreements and statements of work; alignment of purchase order pricing with contractual pricing; validation of clear, detailed descriptions and itemized cost breakdowns; confirmation that purchase orders are created from related work orders; verification of required subcontractor environmental certifications; and validation of correct GL account and expense type usage.
  • Identify missing or inconsistent information and document discrepancies for site correction or follow‑up by site personnel.
  • Monitor the tracking system for new purchase orders requiring review.
  • Monitor for purchase orders resubmitted after site corrective action and audit against original criteria again.
  • Identify and escalate recurring compliance failures to leadership for corrective action.
  • Consistently meet or exceed efficiency and accuracy targets, which serve as key performance indicators for this position.
  • Participate in periodic training and development sessions to enhance accuracy, improve process efficiency, and stay aligned with evolving policies and procedures.
Typical Physical Demands

Sit and stand to do clerical work. Regularly lift and move equipment and supplies up to 25‑50 lbs.

Who we’re looking for
  • High School diploma or GED required
  • Associate Degree in Accounting or Business Administration is a plus
  • Relevant industry experience a plus
  • Audit experience a plus
  • Minimum of two (2) years of accounting or bookkeeping experience
  • Strong data entry and documentation skills with high attention to detail and deadlines
  • Ability to effectively work within a decentralized / highly autonomous business model both collaborating as a team member and working independently.
