Job Summary

The Product Manager
- Consumer Packaged Goods is responsible for aligning customer and Hillman brand/product strategies. This individual will create and present compelling category and product propositions that drive profitable growth and market share for both Hillman and our customers. The Product Manager
- Consumer Packaged Goods serves as a crucial link between our products, market needs, and customer success.

This individual works within Hillman's Protective Solutions Division, focusing on the Cleaning, Paint, Fire Safety, and Grilling categories. Experience involving previous work and/or education in any of these related categories is a plus.

Essential Job Functions *

  • Work with channel teams to optimize customer programs
  • Lead product lifecycle management, maintain portfolio health, and execute item rationalization
  • Drive value engineering initiatives to make existing items more profitable
  • Serve as coordination point with sourcing on PV RFQs and item anomalies
  • Address internal (sales, field, CE) and external product-related questions
  • Monitor and analyze competitive intelligence/activity by category
  • Assist in development of universal selling aids
  • Execute brand strategy and "Swim Lane" management
  • Transform customer insights into POS-driving actions – customer mix/refresh
  • Collaborate with Channel teams to ensure pricing consistency
  • Lead adaptation of existing products (packaging, quantity, artwork)
  • Coordinate graphic design support for new opportunities
  • Facilitate product design support for new opportunities
  • Apply financial acumen to develop effective pricing strategies
  • Tactically execute plans and programs
  • Demonstrate self-motivation and strong coordination skills

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business management, or a related field
  • 1.5 to 4 years of experience in a related field
  • Consumer Packaged Goods product experience required
  • Experience with textile/fabric/apparel is a plus
