Senior Procurement Agent 4 - Atlanta, GA

Overview

As a Senior Purchasing Agent supporting MC Dean’s growing businesses, your role will include:

  • Functioning as a key liaison between the Procurement team and internal stakeholders including MC Dean’s Executive Team, Engineering, Sales, and Manufacturing.
  • Working closely with the core Program/Project teams to manage high visibility and high value programs, applying program/project management skills to assure the timely and efficient execution of MC Dean’s portfolio of projects.
Responsibilities

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Procurement planning during the bidding phase, including understanding contract specifications and bills of material, sourcing, identifying, and prequalifying vendors, developing RFPs, analyzing quotes, negotiating agreements, and developing procurement plans.
  • Post award procurement planning and implementation on major projects, including transferring bid documents, engaging with project teams, and capturing market intelligence.
  • Evaluating market conditions such as pricing trends, lead times, and alternative product opportunities to optimize procurement strategies.
  • Reading and interpreting contract documents, drawings, specifications, and project schedules.
  • Traveling to project sites, manufacturers, and vendors as needed.
Qualifications

Required qualifications include:

  • Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Bachelor's degree plus 7 years of related experience or equivalent.
  • Experience sourcing and negotiating contracts with OEMs, subcontractors, and fabricators.
  • Strong communication skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office, SharePoint, and Excel.
  • Familiarity with accounting principles.
Abilities
  • Ability to work with extended computer screen exposure and sit for long periods.
  • Manual dexterity for manipulating objects like keyboards.
  • Effective listening, speaking, reading, and problem-solving skills.
