Our client, a well-established and highly respected regional law firm, is seeking a Business Development & Marketing Specialist to support key strategic initiatives across multiple practice areas and industry teams.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a collaborative, relationship-driven environment where marketing and business development professionals play a critical role in driving growth, strengthening client relationships, and elevating the firm’s market presence.
The Specialist will be an integral member of the firm’s Marketing, Business Development, and Practice Management team, working closely with attorneys and internal stakeholders. This role requires a proactive, service-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is skilled at managing competing priorities while maintaining a high level of responsiveness and attention to detail.
Key ResponsibilitiesBusiness Development & Strategy
- Partner with attorneys and marketing leadership to develop and execute business development plans aligned with firm priorities
- Identify cross-selling opportunities and support client development initiatives across practices and industries
- Conduct research on prospective clients, industries, and market trends to inform strategy
- Provide guidance on business development efforts to maximize return on investment
- Build strong working relationships with attorneys and anticipate needs to deliver tailored support
- Assist in planning and executing client-facing events, including seminars, webinars, and networking events
- Manage event timelines, logistics, communications, and follow-up activities
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless execution of events and sponsor ships
- Leverage events to enhance client engagement and increase market visibility
- Evaluate and coordinate sponsorship opportunities with industry and professional organizations
- Manage associated deliverables, including registrations, marketing materials, and on-site logistics
- Identify opportunities to enhance visibility through strategic partnerships and affiliations
- Support targeted client development programs and relationship-building initiatives
- Maintain and update client and activity data within the firm’s CRM system
- Track engagement and assist with follow-up actions related to business development efforts
- Assist in developing and maintaining marketing materials such as proposals, presentations, and pitch content
- Contribute to website, social media, and broader communications aligned with brand standards
- Support award submissions, directory listings, and thought leadership initiatives
- Ensure all marketing efforts align with brand guidelines and strategic messaging
- Assist with budget tracking and expense management related to marketing initiatives
- Collaborate with internal teams to improve processes and leverage tools, including emerging technologies
- Provide support on firmwide and cross-functional marketing initiatives
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
- Coordinate across teams to ensure deadlines are met
- Respond to time-sensitive requests with professionalism and efficiency in a dynamic environment
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Minimum of 3+ years of experience in marketing, business development, or professional services (law firm experience preferred)
- Strong client-service mindset with the ability to build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders
- Experience working with professionals in high-demand environments and managing varying personalities and expectations
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with an emphasis on clarity and precision
- Strong organizational and project management abilities with the capacity to manage competing priorities
- Proactive, self-starter with strong problem-solving skills
- Adaptable and resourceful, with the ability to navigate changing priorities and tools
- High attention to detail and ability to process information quickly
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with CRM platforms and design tools is a plus
