Senior Project Engineer

Full‑time, Regular Position – Atlanta, GA, US

Location:

Atlanta, GA office.

The Senior Project Engineer (SPE) will primarily coordinate projects, proactively addressing challenges and partnering with leadership and external partners. The SPE will also train and lead Project Engineers (PEs) and will be expected to have a proven record as a PE before promotion.

• Independently manage certain aspects of a project, as directed by the Project Manager (PM) or Senior Project Manager (SPM)
• Coordinate on-site with superintendents and help manage trades and work in place
• Facilitate trade coordination on the job site
• Develop basic project and breakout schedules
• Train and manage PEs on key tasks such as meeting minutes, RFI review/evaluation, and workflow issuances and receipts
• Evaluate and manage RFI and submittal distribution
• Identify cost and schedule impacts via material tracking logs
• Support the PM in subcontract creation and administration for MSAs and subcontractor agreements
• Collect all COI requirements and maintain them throughout the project
• Enforce, lead, and follow rand

• Review and approve subcontractor invoices with PM oversight
• Generate basic estimates for change‑order work or small service projects
• Review, vet and compile all costs related to owner change orders for PM review
• Establish peer relationships with construction managers, architects, building management teams, and other stakeholders
• Serve as the primary point of contact for client, owner, architect, and project team on service jobs
• Perform additional duties as assigned

• BS in Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management preferred
• Strong understanding of project management and sequencing
• Familiarity with field trades duties and responsibilities
• Ability to negotiate with subcontractors
• Excellent analytical and quantitative skills
• Skill in building and maintaining positive relationships with clients, owners, managers, consultants, architects, and employees
• Knowledge and familiarity with contracts
• Basic understanding of finance principles, including job cost, revenue, budgets, and cash flow
• Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, and Procore
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

This position is located in the Atlanta, GA office.
