We are seeking a highly organized, proactive, and travel-ready Distribution Center Startup Coordinator to support the launch of new client Distribution Centers across the country. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced startup environments, enjoys coordinating multiple work streams simultaneously, and can successfully manage the countless details required to bring a new facility online.
As a key member of the Implementation Team, you'll serve as the administrative and operational backbone of new distribution center startups—coordinating onboarding, facility readiness, travel logistics, vendor management, financial administration, training, and stakeholder communication. You'll partner closely with Operations, Talent, Supply Chain, and Distribution Center leadership to ensure successful launches and smooth transitions into daily operations.
This position requires up to 75% travel and is best suited for someone who enjoys being on-site, solving problems in real time, and supporting large-scale operational initiatives.
What You'll DoLead New Facility Startup Operations- Coordinate and execute all administrative startup activities for new Distribution Centers from pre-opening through launch and stabilization.
- Drive facility readiness by overseeing office setup, supplies, equipment, uniforms, PPE, signage, and administrative infrastructure.
- Support onsite startup activities, ensuring critical operational and administrative milestones are completed on schedule.
- Partner with cross-functional leadership teams to manage startup timelines, deliverables, and implementation activities.
- Coordinate multiple concurrent projects while maintaining strong attention to detail and meeting deadlines.
- Monitor progress, identify risks, and proactively resolve issues that could impact launch readiness.
- Serve as a centralized point of communication between field teams, vendors, support teams, and leadership stakeholders.
- Manage New Hire Orientation (NHO), onboarding processes, training schedules, travel arrangements, and communication plans.
- Develop training materials, job aids, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and administrative best practices.
- Train and support Distribution Center Administrators to ensure consistency across startup locations.
- Manage startup budgets, purchase orders, invoicing, expense tracking, and financial administration activities.
- Coordinate vendor relationships and ensure timely procurement of startup-related materials and services.
- Maintain accurate startup documentation and reporting.
- Serve as a trusted business partner to General Managers, Talent Leaders, Operations Teams, and Support Center stakeholders.
- Identify opportunities to streamline startup processes and improve implementation strategies.
- Provide post-launch support to ensure successful transition into steady-state operations.
- Coordinate extensive travel arrangements for startup teams and leadership.
- Manage changing schedules and priorities while ensuring seamless execution of startup activities.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in project coordination, operations support, implementation, startup operations, or complex administrative environments.
- Demonstrated experience managing multiple projects, timelines, and stakeholders simultaneously.
- Strong organizational, planning, and prioritization skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven ability to work independently in fast-paced, changing environments.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Experience coordinating travel logistics, onboarding activities, budgets, or operational projects.
- Detail-oriented and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- High level of professionalism and discretion with sensitive information.
- Ability and willingness to travel up to 75%.
