Business Analyst – Demand Planning & Supply Chain Operations

Location:

Onsite - Atlanta, GA

Duration: 12 + month contract to (hire + multi-extension capability)

Rate: 39.45 /hr.

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly analytical and results-driven Business Analyst – Demand Planning & Supply Chain to drive cross-functional alignment, demand forecasting, and strategic operational projects. This individual will serve as a crucial bridge between Sales, Business Management, and Supply Chain Management teams to optimize forecasting assumptions, track milestones, and manage complex supply chain initiatives—including cross-dock expansions and next-day delivery enhancements.

The ideal candidate possesses strong expertise in supply chain best practices, project management methodology, and data analytics within consumer electronics or retail manufacturing environments.

Top Three Required Skills
  • Business Analysis:
    Capturing business requirements, conducting gap analyses, and guiding cross-functional strategic decisions.
  • Demand Planning & Forecasting:
    Aligning demand assumptions across sales, management, and supply chain teams to optimize inventory and fulfillment.
  • Reporting & Analytics:
    Preparing weekly/monthly executive dashboards, project status reports, and key supply chain statistics.
Key Responsibilities
  • Demand Planning & Business Analysis:
    Drive cross-functional collaboration with Sales Management, Business Management, and Supply Chain teams to refine demand planning and forecasting assumptions.
  • Ensure all business requirements for strategic initiatives are captured accurately, completely, and translated into actionable operational plans.
  • Support department managers in the execution and deployment of organizational and process improvement initiatives.
  • Prepare, maintain, and present comprehensive reports and statistics related to demand planning, sales forecasting, and operational performance.
  • Project Management & Supply Chain Operations:
    Lead weekly business operations forecast tracking, reporting, and execution.
  • Create and execute comprehensive project plans supporting strategic supply chain initiatives, including the expansion of cross-dock facilities and next-day delivery networks.
  • Establish long- and short-term project milestones, monitor progress, evaluate bottlenecks, and drive issue resolution.
  • Perform continuous quality control throughout project life cycles to maintain organizational standards.
  • Adjust schedules, resource allocations, and targets dynamically as business needs evolve.
  • Facilitate formal project closure, including lessons learned, final documentation, and handoff.
  • Author weekly status reports to keep executive leadership and cross-functional stakeholders aligned on timelines and goals.
Qualifications & Background Experience & Education
  • Education:

    Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, or equivalent practical business experience.
  • Supply Chain

    Experience:

    5–8 years of direct experience in supply chain, demand planning, or business operations.
  • Project Management

    Experience:

    3–4 years of structured project management experience.
  • Certification: PMP (Project Management Professional) certification is required.
  • Industry Background:
    Prior experience with an appliance/consumer electronics manufacturer, distributor, or retailer is strongly preferred.
Certifications & Technical Proficiency (Preferred/Plus)
  • Plus

    Certifications:

    APICS CPIM (Certified in Planning and Inventory Management) or Lean Six Sigma certifications are a significant plus.
  • Software:
    Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Project).
Key Competencies
  • Deep understanding of Retail and Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) supply chain processes, channel sales, and operational best practices.
  • Proven track record of influencing outcomes and leading cross-functional matrix teams without direct authority.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data-driven decision-making capabilities.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skill.
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills with experience presenting to key stakeholders.
  • Ability to prioritize competing demands, manage multiple complex projects simultaneously, and deliver under tight deadlines.
