Position Overview

The Deposit Product Manager III is responsible for designing and driving the strategy and performance for a set of deposit or debit products through benchmarking, innovation, and economic analysis. The role has full ownership and decision‑making authority for the products or programs they are assigned to manage and is highly cross‑functional, partnering with business, technology, legal, risk, compliance, and operations teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage product performance, including financial targets for sales production, balance growth, client acquisition and retention, net interest income, fee revenue, and overall revenue.
  • Develop and execute pricing strategies, including rates, fees, waiver policies, and other pricing tools to optimize performance.
  • Mentor and coach junior product managers and analysts.
  • Serve as a Deposits SME on projects supporting profitable growth, operational soundness, or regulatory compliance for deposit and debit products.
  • Create a strategic roadmap for product launches and enhancements across the product set and lead product design, build, launch, and sun setting activities.
  • Partner with Marketing to design and execute campaigns that drive client acquisition and retention across multiple distribution channels.
  • Collect and analyze client and teammate feedback to identify process and product improvements.
  • Build strong cross‑functional partnerships with Marketing, Legal, Risk, Compliance, Distribution, Servicing, Operations, Analytics, and Technology.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of client needs using analytics, industry research, market research, focus groups, and branch feedback to keep product strategy aligned with emerging needs.
  • Monitor industry trends and competitive intelligence to position the product set against competitors.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in a business‑related major with a strong academic record, or equivalent education and training.
  • 10+ years of work experience within Banking or Financial Services.
  • 5+ years in a staff role such as product management, product strategy, analytics, or marketing.
  • Outstanding influencing, partnership‑building, and collaboration skills with proven ability to drive strategic change on major projects.
  • Exceptional analytical and creative problem‑solving skills, with ability to generate actionable insights from complex analytics and large data sets.
  • Demonstrated success leading cross‑functional teams of senior leaders without formal authority.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to convey conclusions and recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Strong ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced, results‑oriented environment.
  • Experience working with risk leaders to identify and manage key risks.
  • Ability to guide and manage third‑party vendors, including contract negotiations and ongoing monitoring.
  • Proficiency in basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to travel occasionally, including overnight trips.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master’s degree.
  • 7+ years of combined experience in consumer banking, small business banking, debit, or payments.
  • Broad and diverse experience in marketing, finance, acquisitions, product development, and analytics.
  • Experience across channels, including branch leadership.
  • Leadership experience in the Product Management lifecycle, including idea generation, development, implementation, and management of products and services.
  • Experience providing leadership and guidance to analytics efforts.
  • Project Management experience.
