Job Description

Summary:

The Director, Industry Insights & Strategy will translate financial, industry, category, competitor, bottler, and market data into decision-ready insights while using AI and automation to simplify workflows, increase productivity, and improve the speed and quality of strategic recommendations. Function Related Activities/

Key Responsibilities:

Industry and Competitive Assessment:
Assess product categories and competitors to understand industry dynamics. Analyze existing players, including their value propositions, routes to market (RTM), competitive positions, and financial performance, to inform category and corporate strategy. This includes assessing financial statements, analyzing category trend data, and researching long-term industry trends. Strategic Analysis:
Develop actionable insights using data analytics, structured problem-solving, and sound business judgment. Translate complex data into clear implications for category, competitive, and corporate strategy. Financial Statement Analysis:
Conduct financial statement analysis, including income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow analysis, and develop insights on business performance. Explore strategic options, develop creative solutions to complex business issues, and support decision-making. Trend Analysis:
Monitor industry trends, channel evolution, and key competitors' strategies and tactics. Identify and evaluate issues that could affect The Coca-Cola Company's competitive position and financial performance. Data and Intelligence Platforms:
Utilize Fact Set, Global Data, Euromonitor, Nielsen, Compass, and other relevant data sources to develop integrated, evidence-based insights. Global Bottler Analysis:
Analyze global bottler performance and network capacity, including evaluation of financial statements, analyst reports, operating performance, and valuation metrics. Market Intelligence and Executive Communication:
Support the development and communication of market intelligence. Synthesize and interpret data to identify beverage trends and emerging competitive threats, and clearly communicate findings, implications, and recommendations to senior leadership and operating units. Global Network

Collaboration:

Leverage the global Competitive Intelligence and Strategy network to gather local market insights on competitive activity and identify trends, risks, and opportunities. AI-Enabled Insights and Productivity:
Leverage generative AI, advanced analytics, and digital productivity tools to accelerate research, analysis, insight generation, and synthesis of complex information. Identify, prioritize, and implement opportunities to streamline recurring analyses, reporting, intelligence gathering, and knowledge-management processes, improving consistency, scalability, and team productivity.

Bachelor's degree in Finance or Marketing. MBA preferred

7+ years of experience in strategy, market intelligence, or finance roles, ideally in top-tier consulting, investment banking, or corporate strategy environments. Demonstrated ability to influence decision-makers across the organization and present findings through advanced visualizations, executive narratives, PowerPoint presentations, white papers, memos, video conferences, and in-person presentations. Strong collaboration skills and a track record of working effectively across functions, geographies, and levels of the organization.

Demonstrated experience using generative AI, automation, analytics, and digital productivity tools to improve business processes, accelerate insight generation, enhance decision-making, or increase operational efficiency.
