Description:

The Director, Commercial Performance Insights is a strategic business partner to Master Brand’s Builder and Distributor leadership, responsible for identifying, quantifying, and driving initiatives that improve commercial performance and profitability. This role will leverage data, analytics, and business insights to uncover opportunities across account productivity, pricing effectiveness, customer profitability, sales force performance, incentive compensation, and broader commercial operations. The Director will develop analytical frameworks, dashboards, and recommendations that enable leadership to make fact-based decisions, optimize investments, and accelerate profitable growth.

This individual will work cross-functionally with Sales, Finance, Pricing, Customer Experience, Sales Operations, Field Operations, Continuous Improvement, and Executive Leadership to establish a culture of performance management and continuous improvement. The Director will advance the organization from descriptive reporting to predictive, prescriptive, and action-oriented analytics; integrate internal and external data; strengthen commercial forecasting and scenario planning; and translate insights into executable actions with measurable financial impact.

Responsibilities Unlock analytics as a competitive advantage:
Develop and lead a comprehensive performance analytics strategy supporting the Builder and Distributor channels. Pinpoint improvement opportunities:
Identify and recommend actions that will improve revenue growth, expand gross margins, and drive commercial team effectiveness. Evaluate pricing strategies and how those translate to revenue growth and portfolio profitability. Assess sales force productivity at the rep, territory, and account level, and verify the accuracy and effectiveness of compensation and incentive plans. Foster communication on business outcomes:
Establish KPIs, scorecards, and reporting frameworks that drive accountability and informed decision-making. Support channel strategy development:
Develop predictive and prescriptive analytics, early-warning indicators, and scenario models that identify market opportunities and emerging risks. Contextualize execution and performance:
Integrate internal performance data with external market, customer insights, and competitive intelligence to validate decision making and distinguish market-driven results from execution-driven performance. Offer relevant insights and recommendations:
Translate complex data into actionable business recommendations and executive-level insights. Serve as a trusted advisor to Builder and Distributor leadership teams. Strengthen core processes:
Support annual planning, forecasting, budgeting, and sensitivity modeling with rigorous analysis. Pressure test assumptions, risks, resource allocation decisions, and alternative business strategies. Facilitate business curiosity and creativity:
Lead ad hoc analyses and executive requests related to commercial performance. Structure ambiguous business problems, develop hypotheses, and synthesize complex findings. Support implementation:
