Position: ATLANTA FAMILY SEEKING LIVE-OUT BILINGUAL NANNY!

Overview

ATLANTA, GA (LOCAL CANDIDATES ONLY) - A warm, same-sex Christian family is seeking a FLEXIBLE, LIVE-OUT BILINGUAL NANNY to care for their spirited and active 19-month-old son, who turns 2 in July. This is a long-term opportunity for a strong, confident caregiver who brings both nurturing warmth and clear, steady authority. The ideal candidate is experienced with toddlers, understands big emotions, and can confidently set and hold respectful boundaries.

A background in teaching or early childhood education is strongly preferred, as the family values a curriculum-style approach and intentional developmental guidance. The child is not currently enrolled in preschool, so the nanny will play a key role in his early learning foundation.

The family is seeking someone who can manage toddler behavior thoughtfully and effectively, including de-escalating situations, recognizing cues, and not reinforcing negative behaviors. The nanny must be comfortable holding firm, loving boundaries, and helping the child learn that expectations are consistent. This is a child who is active, expressive, and developing independence, so the nanny must be able to guide him through big feelings while maintaining calm authority.

Experience working with 2-year-olds is essential. Dual language exposure is a high priority. Bilingual Spanish candidates are strongly preferred, as the family would like their son to have consistent language immersion. A former teacher or educator who can implement a structured, age-appropriate curriculum and learning through play would be an excellent fit.

The schedule guarantees 30 hours per week, though days and hours will vary. Typically, the nanny will have 1 to 2 days off per week, though these will not always be the same days. Shifts may be approximately 4 hours on lighter days, and up to 8 hours when one parent is traveling and the other is working. Flexibility is essential, as no two weeks look exactly the same.

The family is considering expanding their family and would like a candidate who is comfortable growing with them.

Overnights are not required, but travel is an element of the role. The family travels from December through March for an extended assignment. It is important to note that this extended travel is treated as standard work in another location. Clear communication around travel expectations will always be provided.

The child is highly active and enjoys swim lessons, soccer, park outings, and outdoor play. The ideal nanny must be physically engaged, comfortable getting on the floor, running at the park, and participating in hands‑on play. A strong driving record is required, and the family is open to the nanny transporting the child to activities. Respectful professionalism and previous toddler experience are critical.

The family values a team‑oriented approach and open communication. This is a home where everyday life is dynamic, and the right candidate will thrive in an environment that requires adaptability, emotional intelligence, and consistency. There are pets in the home, including two miniature golden doodles and a well‑trained pit bull; no pet care is required. The family prefers candidates who are up to date on standard vaccinations, including MMR and Tdap, with COVID and flu vaccinations.

The family offers $30+ per hour gross via payroll, based on experience, along with PTO, sick days, and a negotiable healthcare stipend. Start date is ASAP for the right candidate.
